Biography

One of Lisseth's earliest memories as a child has always been her passion for health and wellness. At first, Lisseth aspired to become a psychologist, she always valued wellbeing through connection and the power of communication. Upon graduating from high school, she decided to get a job as a receptionist in a medical clinic (which had a psychiatric unit) as a way of getting exposure in the psychology/medical field. During this time, she witnessed how patients became dependent on medications without hesitation or seeking alternative methods to treat the root of their problems. This experience was an eye opener for Lisseth and made her pursue a career in massage therapy instead, a career path to help people heal naturally and connect with their bodies. This change in career decision was no surprise for Lisseth, as she grew up in a small town in Nicaragua and she recalls visiting her grandmother’s farm where natural remedies were a way of life.

In retrospect, massage therapy opened a whole a new world for Lisseth; one of self-exploration and spirituality. She began practicing yoga and meditation in her late teens, and it only made sense to eventually pursue a degree in dietetics and nutrition to compliment her passion for health and wellness. Lisseth has worked in some of the best world class resorts in Miami for almost two decades now, and describes her type of bodywork as intuitive. She's currently looking for her next challenge, whether it is to grow in the wellness industry and share her passion and knowledge with others or pursue her master's degree to further her knowledge in health science.
